In 2006, Forge Foundation was born with the purpose of helping to solve a terrible social reality. Built upon Sam Mizrahis idea, and with the support of numerous people committed to social welfare, this Swiss based Foundation was established. Forge Foundations mission is to promote the access to job opportunities for young boys and girls from low-income families through an innovative training and employment system. In other words, and as its name indicates, Forge Foundation aspires to forge young men and women into individuals who are fully prepared for a modern labor market.
How The Foundation Works
Through its 'Training and Employment' program, Forge Foundation provides young students who are finishing high school with training in specialties that are in high demand, allowing them access to their first quality job. This goal is achieved by means of an innovative, efficient system which revolves around four core actions:
1º Analyze high-demand job positions and, based on market conditions, design humanistic and technical training courses to develop not only good employees, but also decent human beings.
2º Incorporate students who are completing their last two years of high school in public schools and provide them with free training courses that are strongly focused on human values. In addition, this program encourages them to finish their high school studies. As a pre-requisite to obtain a Forge degree, students are required to have completed their high school education.
3º Build links between graduate students and companies selected by the Foundation which offer quality jobs, which means formal job placement, a good work environment, career opportunities and good salaries
4º Offers first-year tutoring to graduates who are already employed to help them during their first quality job. This initiative benefits all parties involved and contributes to improve the quality of life of young girls and boys, their families and the community as well.
Dreams come true

It is with great pride that we can say today that after only four years of operation, the Forge Foundation runs three Centers in Argentina and two in Uruguay. Courses cover most of the basic positions available in the market: Sales and Customer Service, Logistics and Production Assistant, Management Assistant, Restaurant and Hotel Management and Java Programming. There is also a Humanistic program for students from technical schools. In these four years 353 students have graduated, 266 of which already have a formal job in the companies that participate in the Forge job network and are changing their lives due to their jobs. At the present, almost 1,300 youths are training at the Forge Centers. We are fulfilling lots of dreams, and we are certain to be able to fulfill many more!!!
